Softball Game Preview: Bloomfield Bombers vs. Mynderse Academy Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Bloomfield will face off against Mynderse Academy. The Bombers will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Bloomfield is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Mynderse Academy. The Bombers blew past the Blue Devils 8-1 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Bombers in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Ashlyn Wright spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 16 Ks.

On the hitting side, Sydney Falsone was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brianna Leitten, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Bloomfield took their win against Mynderse Academy in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Bombers repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
