Volleyball Recap: Wonewoc-Center Comes Up Short

Wonewoc-Center lost against Brookwood back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-21 in the first set.

Wonewoc-Center couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Brookwood a tough time in the third set. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-10, 30-28, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Wonewoc-Center saw an underclassman step up: freshman Faith Daugs had 13 digs and one assist.

Wonewoc-Center's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Brookwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wonewoc-Center is set to face off against their familiar foe Cashton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brookwood will challenge rival Necedah at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
