Basketball Recap: Moravia Comes Up Short

Moravia suffered their biggest loss since December 20, 2024 on Monday. They took a blow against the Montezuma Braves, falling 79-25. While losing is never fun, the Mohawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Braves are ranked 78th).

Moravia now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Montezuma, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Moravia will be playing at home against Sigourney at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sigourney will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Moravia surely won't give up without a fight. Montezuma has already played their next match, a 64-26 win against H-L-V on the 4th.
