Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenfield). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-13 victory over the McAuley Catholic Warriors on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Greenfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for McAuley Catholic, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenfield will host New Heights Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for McAuley Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sarcoxie at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
