Volleyball Recap: Arnold Now 3-1 over Last Four Games + How To Watch

The Arnold Marlins were able to grind out a solid win over the Blountstown Tigers on Monday, taking the game 3-1.

Arnold had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-22.

Abigail Black paced Arnold's offense, picking up nine kills. Black got some help from Cheyenne Risinger and her 21 assists. Micah Mae Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Blountstown's defeat wasn't for lack of effort from Mackenzie Bellamy: she had 31 assists, 26 digs, and two aces in a losing cause. The team also got some help from Cyianna Smith, who had 20 kills, 14 digs, and a solo block.

Arnold has been performing well recently, winning three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Blountstown, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

After both having extra time off, Arnold and Chipley will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Blountstown, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Wakulla on the 22nd.
