Everett Alvarez extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-16. They lost 14-4 to the King City Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-1 defeat last Friday.

Amaris Perez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Aaliyah Meza also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
As for King City, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-13. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
On King City's side, Alizah Carrillo made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Carrillo was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery Munoz, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-5. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ally Chavez, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Everett Alvarez has already played their next contest, a 16-2 defeat against North Salinas on the 12th. As for King City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Alisal on the 12th.
