Soccer Game Preview: Magnolia vs. Klein Collins

The Magnolia Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Klein Collins Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Magnolia fell victim to Klein Forest and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 5-0 to the Eagles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Eagles are ranked 607th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Klein Collins took on Tomball Memorial on Friday. Klein Collins came up short against Tomball Memorial, falling 4-0. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Tigers struggled afterwards.

Klein Collins' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Magnolia, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Magnolia beat Klein Collins 2-0 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Magnolia since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
