Basketball Recap: Bacon County Falls Short of Worth County in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bacon County can now relate to. They fell just short of the Worth County Rams by a score of 53-50 on Tuesday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Bacon County still got an impressive performance from Marnay'Jah Reynolds, who went 13-for-18 on her way to 38 points. That's the most points Reynolds has posted since back in November of 2024. Makayla Thomas was another key player, putting up five points along with 19 rebounds and five blocks.

Bacon County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Worth County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Bacon County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Worth County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 51-45 loss against Rabun County on the 21st.
