Soccer Recap: Plant Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Plant was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Steinbrenner Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in January.

Plant was without their leading scorer, Toby Burnett, in Wednesday's matchup. With Burnett sitting this one out, Reed Carlin got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 48.3).

Having lost for the first time this season, Plant fell to 3-1-2. As for Steinbrenner, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3-1.

Plant didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Robinson on the 10th. Steinbrenner has also already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against Jefferson on the 10th.
