Baseball Recap: Lake City Comes Up Short

Lake City was the 11-1 winner over Lakeland when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Owen Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.

Lake City's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Lakeland, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-12 record.

While Lake City had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
