Football Game Preview: Turpin Spartans vs. Kings Knights

Turpin hasn't had much luck against Kings recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Turpin fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Lebanon on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 41-38. The Spartans were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kings). They really took it to Milford for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-14 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Turpin's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Kings, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
