Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Comes Up Short

If Sequoyah was feeling good fresh off their 19-8 takedown of Oliver Springs on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chiefs came up short against the Heritage Mountaineers on Monday, falling 12-0. The Chiefs have struggled against the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Sequoyah's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

While Sequoyah had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
