Softball Recap: North Marion Takes a Loss

North Marion couldn't beat Vanguard on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Colts lost 26-6 to the Knights. The Colts have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Hadliegh Young made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Turski, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

North Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Vanguard, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

North Marion has already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Buchholz on the 26th. As for Vanguard, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-1 win against West Port on the 31st.
