Football Game Preview: Delta Panthers vs. Patrick Henry Patriots

Delta hasn't had much luck against Patrick Henry recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will challenge the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Delta will be strutting in after a win while Patrick Henry will be coming in after a defeat.

Delta's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They strolled past Wauseon with points to spare, taking the game 17-0. The 17-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Liberty Center, falling 35-6. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

The victory made it two in a row for Delta and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 points in those games. As for Patrick Henry, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Delta was taken down by Patrick Henry 37-3 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 28-3.
