Softball Recap: Palos Verdes Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Palos Verdes hadn't done well against Mira Costa recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Sea Kings walked away with a 5-2 win over the Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-2 on April 4th.

Adela Randazzo was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Maven Ding was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Palos Verdes' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Mira Costa, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palos Verdes will head out to square off against Wiseburn- Da Vinci at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Sea Kings are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Mira Costa, they will head out on the road to take on North at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Saxons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.73 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
