Volleyball Recap: Rocori Comes Up Short

Rocori lost against Willmar back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-2.

Rocori actually scored more points across those five sets (115-113), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-23, 19-25, 30-28, 16-14.

Willmar found their leader in sophomore Jordan Blahosky, who had 20 digs and three aces. Blahosky is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Mallory Beier was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Rocori's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Willmar, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Rocori will welcome Fergus Falls at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Willmar, they will head out on the road to take on St. Peter at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
