Basketball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Finds Home Court Redemption Against Harmony School of Excellence + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Incarnate Word Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 48-40 win over the Harmony School of Excellence Hawks on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Angels also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Mason Abernathy was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 14 points along with five boards and three steals. Matthew Nicholson was another key player, putting up eight points and 13 rebounds.

Incarnate Word Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Incarnate Word Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Harmony School of Excellence, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Incarnate Word Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against London at 7:00 p.m. The Angels will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Harmony School of Excellence, they will head out to take on Freer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
