Softball Recap: Saint Francis Lancers vs. Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders
Saint Francis posted their closest victory since April 12, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders 8-6.
Ava Bulanti was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Mercedes Coller looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
