It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Kent can now relate to. They fell just short of the Grafton Clippers by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Dylan Bowman was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, New Kent saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Warren, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

New Kent's defeat dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Grafton, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

As of now, neither New Kent nor the Clippers have any future games scheduled.
