Volleyball Recap: Horicon Takes a Loss

Horicon lost against Dodgeland on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Marshmen fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1.

Sarah Hodgson paced Horicon's offense, picking up eight kills. Hodgson got some help from Haily Niemuth and her 11 assists. Emily Bunkoske controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Dodgeland can attribute much of their success to Kayden Denure, who had 15 assists and ten digs. That's the most digs Denure has posted since back in October of 2024.

Horicon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Dodgeland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-11.

Horicon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Palmyra-Eagle on the 11th. As for Dodgeland, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Oakfield on the 11th.
