Softball Game Preview: Braxton County Eagles vs. Calhoun Red Devils

The Braxton County Eagles will challenge the Calhoun Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Braxton County comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Braxton County and Webster County, and Webster County kept the tradition alive. The Eagles came up short against the Highlanders on Thursday, falling 11-3.

Braxton County saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bre Marsh, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Calhoun's offense. They fell just short of Wirt County by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

Braxton County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Calhoun, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-11.
