Softball Recap: Perkins Comes Up Short

Perkins managed to slip by Oak Harbor the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 15-1 to the Rockets on Thursday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Perkins saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Brunner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Perkins and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Oak Harbor, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Perkins has already played their next game, a 16-6 win against Sandusky on the 11th. As for Oak Harbor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-2 victory against Genoa Area on the 11th.
