Basketball Recap: Cleburne County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wellborn on Tuesday, Cleburne County came back down to earth. The game between the Cleburne County Tigers and the Central of Clay County Volunteers didn't end well, with the Cleburne County Tigers falling 61-47. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Volunteers are ranked 124th).

Cleburne County's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Central of Clay County, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Cleburne County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-64 defeat against Anniston on the 16th. Central of Clay County has also already played their next contest (against Sylacauga), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
