Volleyball Game Preview: Gilmour Academy Lancers vs. Anthony Wayne Generals

The Gilmour Academy Lancers will square off against the Anthony Wayne Generals at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Gilmour Academy is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since August 30th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to Magnificat. The shutout was out of character for the Lancers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Anthony Wayne entered their tilt with Southview on Thursday with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. They blew past the Cougars 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Anthony Wayne took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-7, 25-8.

Gilmour Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Anthony Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 18-1.
