Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Devon Prep). Everything went their way against the Roman Catholic Cahillite on Thursday as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Tide not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024 (when they won 10-0).

John Doogan made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Alex Hannah was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Leckman, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Devon Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Roman Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Devon Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-2 win against Archbishop Carroll on the 7th. As for Roman Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-9 victory against Friends' Central on the 3rd.
