Volleyball Recap: Crestwood's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Tunkhannock last Thursday, Crestwood came back down to earth. Crestwood fell just short of the Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Comets' undefeated start to the season.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Crestwood sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-22, 19-25, 18-16.

Jordany Rodriguez had an outrageously good game for Wilkes-Barre as he had 36 digs, 15 kills, and one block. Another player making a difference was Tijan Nijai, who had 41 assists and six digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, Crestwood fell to 2-1. As for Wilkes-Barre, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Crestwood will square off against Abington Heights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Wilkes-Barre, they will take on Hanover Area at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
