Baseball Game Preview: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Parkland Matadors

For the second straight game, Bel Air will face off against Parkland. The Highlanders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Matadors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bel Air is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Parkland a seven-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Bel Air turned things around against Parkland on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Matadors 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Highlanders have posted against the Matadors since April 22, 2022.

Ryan Rodriguez and Angel Guevara did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Guevara went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most hits Rodriguez has posted since back in March. Ruy Anzaldo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 6-17-1. As for Bel Air, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16-1.
