Basketball Game Preview: Westview Knights vs. Peoria Panthers

The Westview Knights will challenge the Peoria Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Westview turned things around against Cactus on Thursday. They came out on top against the Cobras by a score of 48-35.

Meanwhile, Peoria hadn't done well against Deer Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Everything went Peoria's way against Deer Valley as Peoria made off with a 52-27 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Peoria pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.6 points. As for Westview, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13.

Westview took their win against Peoria in their previous meeting back in November of 2016 by a conclusive 50-24. Will Westview repeat their success, or does Peoria have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
