Perry came tearing into Wednesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Geneva Eagles by a score of 4-1. Four seems to be a good number for the Pirates as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Perry pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
