Baseball Recap: Jordan-Elbridge Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Skaneateles, Jordan-Elbridge was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over the Weedsport Wolverines. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the match before.

Nolan Brunelle made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brunelle was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Jordan-Elbridge: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gage Davey, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryan Jr. Horrell, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Jordan-Elbridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Jordan-Elbridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Weedsport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
