Basketball Recap: Peachtree Baptist Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Emma Harrison and Mackenzie Reed

Peachtree Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 49-24 to the Philadelphia Christian School Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trailblazers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 33-22 back in November of 2024.

Mackenzie Reed and Emma Harrison certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Reed posted nine points, while Harrison put up six points. That was a full 37.5% of Peachtree Baptist Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Peachtree Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Philadelphia Christian School, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Peachtree Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kings Way Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st.
