Softball Recap: McKinley Takes a Loss

McKinley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-4 to the Perry Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-4 defeat on Monday.

Elijahne Smith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

McKinley's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Perry, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-13-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. McKinley is set to take on their familiar foe Jackson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Perry will challenge rival Green at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
