Basketball Recap: Epic South Picks Up 12th Consecutive Victory

Epic South came tearing into Monday's match with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Edison as they made off with a 78-56 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 64-58 last Saturday.

Epic South's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.6 points per game. As for Edison, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Epic South is taking a road trip to face off against Lane at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lane's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Edison, they will challenge John Adams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edison knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully John Adams likes a good challenge.
