Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Grace Parnell and Mia Nasca Lead Hornell to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against York, Hornell was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Dansville Mustangs 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won seven in a row.

Hornell never let Dansville on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 26-24, 25-12.

Leading Hornell to victory were Mia Nasca and Grace Parnell. Nasca had 11 digs and four assists, while Parnell had two aces. Those four assists gave Nasca a new career-high.

Hornell's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Dansville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hornell will take on Canisteo-Greenwood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dansville, they will face off against Geneseo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
