Volleyball Recap: Vandalia Comes Up Short

Vandalia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Southwestern Piasa Birds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vandals of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-13.

Vandalia's loss dropped their record down to 2-25-1. As for Southwestern, their win bumped their record up to 12-14-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandalia will welcome Gillespie at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwestern, they will host Metro-East Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
