Flag Football Recap: Audrina Mendoza and Chloee Mccalley Pace Rio Linda Defense

Rio Linda entered their matchup against Dixon on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Knights took a 13-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Rio Linda didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Audrina Mendoza and Chloee McCalley.

Rio Linda's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-5. As for Dixon, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Rio Linda didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 25-14 victory against Natomas on the 24th. As for Dixon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 46-0 win against Woodland on the 24th.
