Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Lighthouse Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 58-44 fall against the Heritage Academy Warrior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warrior this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-30 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Lighthouse Prep Academy lost, don't look at Jordan Little. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 15 to rack up 19 points. The dominant performance gave Little a new career-high in points. Ethan Stammer was another key player, putting up nine points.

Heritage Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nick Kespohl out in front who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kylen Larson, who put up 14 points.

Lighthouse Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Heritage Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.
