Baseball Recap: Ferris Comes Up Short

Ferris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Life Waxahachie Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Aiden Guzman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Ferris' loss dropped their record down to 8-11-3. As for Life Waxahachie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7-2.

Coming up, Ferris will take on Scurry-Rosser at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Life Waxahachie will be paying especially close attention to the Yellowjackets' contest: after the Yellowjackets faces off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Life Waxahachie again at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
