Trinity Lutheran had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats by a score of 3-1. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won nine matches in a row dating back to last season.

Leading Trinity Lutheran to victory were Madelyn Adams and Presley Meyer. Adams had nine digs and two aces, while Meyer had nine digs and one assist. Those nine digs gave Meyer a new career-high.

Trinity Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Lawrence North on the 16th. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Tri-West Hendricks on the 16th.
