Baseball Recap: Oakdale Comes Up Short

If Oakdale was riding high fresh off their 18-3 takedown of Rockwood last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Oakdale fell 12-8 to the Clarkrange Buffaloes on Thursday.

Oakdale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Collins, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Oakdale's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Clarkrange, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Looking ahead, Oakdale will head out on the road to take on Oliver Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oliver Springs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Oakdale surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clarkrange, they will welcome Clay County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
