Softball Recap: Cyprus Comes Up Short

Cyprus managed to slip by Davis the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 15-3 to the Darts on Monday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Darts earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Ajla Hadzialijagic was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

Cyprus has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Davis, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cyprus will welcome Kearns at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Weber at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Darts are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
