Football Recap: Denver West Comes Up Short

Denver West fell victim to Monarch and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were dealt a 31-0 defeat at the hands of the Coyotes. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

A big part of Monarch's victory came down to the chemistry between Sidney Miller and her top target Avery Kennedy. Miller threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns while Kennedy picked up 61 receiving yards and one TD.

Denver West's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Monarch, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Denver West has already played their next matchup, a 38-0 victory against Kennedy on the 6th. As for Monarch, they will challenge Hinkley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
