Basketball Recap: Scott Comes Up Short

Scott lost to Hugoton back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Beavers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to the Eagles. Beavers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Thursday.

Scott has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10-2 record this season. As for Hugoton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Coming up, Scott won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cimarron at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Beavers will be up against the Bluejays' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.36 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hugoton, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Colby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
