Basketball Recap: Mount Vernon Takes a Loss

Mount Vernon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Lone Oak Buffaloes, falling 64-25. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-37 on January 3rd.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Lone Oak, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-12.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mount Vernon Tigers challenge the Rains Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lone Oak, they will face off against Prairiland at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
