Softball Game Preview: Wapello Indians vs. WACO Warriors

The Wapello Indians will square off against the WACO Warriors on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wapello has four straight wins, WACO has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Wapello's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Holy Trinity Catholic as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won four games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, WACO scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 28-4 to Pekin.

WACO's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Wapello, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Everything went Wapello's way against WACO when the teams last played back in June of 2016, as Wapello made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
