 Curie was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  13-8 to the Farragut Admirals.
 For Farragut's part,  Ben DeMateo made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits. DeMateo was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last 17 games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Julian Andrade, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Bella DeMateo was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base.
 Curie's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Farragut, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Curie will be staying on the road  on Wednesday to face off against Little Village at 4:30  p.m. As for Farragut, they will  square off against Lake View at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Lake View is on a three-game streak of home wins, Farragut a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
