Volleyball Recap: Wichita Christian Comes Up Short

Wichita Christian lost against Harvest Christian back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stars fell just short of the Saints by a score of 3-2. While the Stars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Saints 25-16 in the first set.

Wichita Christian took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-11, 15-8.

Sam Velasquez was a one-woman wrecking crew For Harvest Christian. as she had 31 digs and five assists. Velasquez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Wichita Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Harvest Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Wichita Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harvest Christian, they will take on Victory Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
