Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Grace Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Christian Academy of Knoxville on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors 61-55. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 54-40 defeat back in January.

Christian Academy of Knoxville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddie Braden out in front who went 8-for-17 to rack up 22 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colie Thompson, who went 7-for-16 on her way to 15 points along with eight boards and six assists.

Grace Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Christian Academy of Knoxville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 23-7.

As of now, neither Grace Christian Academy nor Christian Academy of Knoxville have any future games scheduled.
