Mitchell suffers 11th straight loss at home

Recap: Mitchell Bluejackets vs. Orleans Bulldogs
The Mitchell Bluejackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 13th straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 56-32 defeat at the hands of Orleans. While losing is never fun, Mitchell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 342nd, while Orleans is ranked 63rd).
Orleans found their leader in underclassman Callie Alston, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Adrian Abel, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Mitchell's loss was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Orleans, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-3.
Mitchell will square off against Paoli at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orleans does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
