The Fairfax Stampede will venture away from home to face off against the Willow Canyon Wildcats at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Fairfax is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Fairfax is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They fell 9-4 to La Joya Community.

Fairfax saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Balderas, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Willow Canyon suffered their closest defeat since March 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Chaparral by a score of 5-3. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Firebirds recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fairfax now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Willow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
